Victrola Book of the Opera, from LC

As part of the National Jukebox project, the Library of Congress has included an online version of the book, Victrola Book of the Opera.   The edition of the book offered was published in 1919 by the Victor Talking Machine Company.  The book was intended to sale as both a popular Opera Guide, and as a catalog to the Victor record collections.

The interactive Guide includes links back to recordings digitized by the Project.  What I find interesting is that the prices for the individual arias and songs are very similar to a single mp3 song today, e.g. $1.00, $0.85, etc.  I could envision an online guide similar to this produced today using the same concept.
